Looks like a good deal on them. There is not a pic of the back of the headlight. Does it come with the bulbs and mounting boots?

There is also a small running light that goes above the headlight. If you want one I still have one you can have.

Also, do not forget a windscreen.

I will try to set up a mock-up of my sv fairings when I go home for lunch.

Not really what I am refering to. Has to do with the light bulbs plugs and the rubber boots that hold them in. I think he is referencing the actually mounting points for the whole assembly. I will take a pic of the back of the light which should help.

You can have the light for shipping.
Stock windshield $20 + shipping

Also, I thought that there are other fairing pieces that go up front as well. I will be back with pics shortly.

There are 2 sides that go with the front fairing. You can use the center front fairing as is. It will have a streetfighter look.

Here are some links to pics with the SVS fairing sitting on my bike. I could not take any front pics since I cannot move the bike away from the wall right now (swingarm is off).

Here is the back of the head light. These are the rubber boots that I am referring to:

BTW...I think I am going to hold onto the windshield for now. I have an idea for a project bike. You could easily get one from someone on //www.svrider.com. Also, I looked for the center light and could not find it. I will look more in depth later tonight. I may have given it away.

That bike looks familiar somehow...  :P

I tried the SV full fairing when they first came out, but it didn't fit properly.

how so... i dont have the full fairing

just upper front

what went wrong with urs?

It was too wide where the fairing sides would touch the frame. There was at least 2 inches on each side. To make it fit would have required either cutting out a middle section or squeezing the sides in which would have made the windscreen impossible to fit.

This was an aftermarket carbon fiber copy of the fairing though. I never tried an  OEM SV upper...

It always seems to come back to haunt you.  :nana:

As for the oem SVS fairing fitting...Some triming may be required for a better fit. But just from me sitting it on the bike (pretty close to where it would actually be), I looks like a good fit. A front fairing stay would need to be made along with side brackets. The side brackets may have to be 3-4" long but then that is not much more then the brackets that are there now. Even the brackets that came from Cheetah when I put their fairings on my SV where about 4" long. The clip-ons are the only major issue that I see. Cutting back the fairing would solve this. But standard handle bars may not have this problem, unless they are too high. I will play with it a little more tonight.

A fairing stay is the part that holds up the upper part of the fairing. Usually mounted where the mirrors are and to the frame at the head. Some times they go over the handle bars like on the TL. This is what a stock SVS stay looks like:

The SVS also holds the gauges. Race bike stays are as minimal as possible. Here is a pic of my old race SV. The stay is the silver part coming from behind the tach.

I have not decide how I will make one for the SVS fairings yet.

Almost forgot, I kind of have a pic of the stay on my GS. Makes a great paper towel holder.    Real basic. Just 2 pieces of bent tubing. A bracket was welded to the steering head and the stay is bolted to it.
