What do you need to know?

The rings go around the pistons.
The pistons fit inside the cylinders.
The head sits on top of the cylinders.

Well, that pretty much covers it.

Lucky for you I do not drink beer anymore. Wine, now that is something completely different.

OK the eli has a quarter sized hole in its head, on the back side, right under valve cover, now I yanked off the head, cylinders etc... I need someone to see the cylinders and pistons for damage. I am going to hone them, put new rings, new gaskets and get a newish head off a concourse...  I need someone to measure the bore (I would, but I cant find the damn bore guage anywhere in this podunk town), and see if a hone will do, or do I need to bore it and get new pistons... and if pistons are ok and if that need to be replaced. And  :guns:  :guns:  :guns: dgyver... woweee... I'll send you down a bottle of some cheap ass wine...  :nana:  :nana:  :nana:

Podunk town?....are you refering to Charlotte? Heck, Williamston is the definition of podunk and there are several shops that have those tools (dang harleys). Maybe it is because of the redneck area. Not me, just where I live and I am not guilty by proxy.

btw...I am going to be in Charlotte next Monday & Tuesday for a work trip but I am not sure where I will be staying. I am riding with others not driving.

Perfdrug... what's wrong with wine in a box... that's what I drink... yea now that the damn benefits of red wine have forced me to drink it... I have drunk gasoline and its not as bad as red wine... I am thinking somewhere between motor oil and diesel is where red wine falls... they took the damn fun out of drinking...
And Dgyver... aussie Red...  :nana: . Come over and I'll give you some box wine... I have both kinds... fruity red and ghey red, and just to make it less offensive to my taste buds... I put them in the fridge. So come over for cold wine... and Oh... if you actually help... OK I'll run down to walmart and get some Aussie Kangaroo wine. Oooooohhh faaaaaancccccccy....
