reach under the left tail plastic... and find the seat cable....grab it with pliers or hand and pull.
if that don't work....
yo have to try to remove the inner fender  qnd get a hold of the seat latch to remove the seat

the tank really needs the tail plastic off the bike to access the bolts to remove the tank.  you will break plastic things if you force them.
want Iain's money to support my butt in kens shop

Just so you know what you're up against....

Access Verboten!  (Can't get at the locking plungers from the side)

How your latch looks now:

How you WANT it to look.  Notice how the cable end has been pulled to the left and the locking plungers are retracted:

I have a special screwdriver I use to get at these.....I took a cheap- semi long screwdriver and bent the end over (well the tip part broke but whats left works great)and put a kink in the middle of the shaft....  I lift up on the brake side edge of the seat a little...fish the hook end in next to the release part that holds the end of the cable and push....

Works great..... I'm sure you could make something similar.
When the 2nd Amendment is lost, the rest will soon follow.
