:guns: damn this upstate ny weather!  it's been so iffy that its impossible to go out for a ride without worrying that you'll get washed out by (take your pick): rain, hail, lightning, flash flood....

just wondering what everyone else does when they're jonesin' for a ride but mother nature won't cooperate.  i'm thinking of going to the dealership at lunch today to oogle new bikes :dunno:

at least you could ride if you chose to do so.

my bike's been out of commission for 5 weeks now :(  :(  so I don't want to hear any of this "I haven't ridden for a week" crap!! :guns:  :guns:

I'm just screwing with you. Hope the weather clears up soon so you can ride. It would be a shame if more than one of us goes crazy

I know how you feel.  I was once down for three weeks because of a fuel line leak.  All I could do before I fixed it was to surf the web and read anything I could find about motorcycles.  It's a sickness.  :thumb:

The weather is awesome, but I was riding in all that rain as well. Call me Crazy? :dunno:  Everyday I went out I knew I was taking a chance of getting wet b/c I don't have proper rain pants yet. Needless to say I was hang-drying my pants a few times. It is kind of an adrenaline rush/challenge to me, but there is still that bit of uneasiness and uncertainty. On the plus side us bikers don't have to worry about hydroplaning (just watch the oil slicks). While everyone is driving like 50mph I'm maneuvering thru traffic with ease ;) .

I think I was just born to ride. Next challenge: snow / ice (if we ever get some  )

The weather here in Sarasota has been the typical Florida summer, nothing but rain the last two days. To make things worse I can't ride my new bike, my beautiful SV650S because I don't want it to get wet yet
So instead I walked to the grocery store and had fun vroom vrooming with the shopping cart flying past the old ladies who obviously couldn't get out on their bikes either hence the reason we were all in the store.

when riding in the rain i'm reluctant to lean it over very far...less rubber on the road when the road is slippery=scary :o
i guess that's what keeps me in my cage when the monsoons are monsooning.
has anyone else felt the a$$ end wiggle when leaning around a curve?

Shockingly no-one gives me a funny look for riding in the wet... But it rains pretty much all the time in England  ;)

However I know how you feel.. The weekends have not been good in the UK recently. Summers been a bit pants  :(

So I stay in and watch MotoGP or WSB and get depressed if I can't ride!
