I posted one or two things there.  This site could use some new input.
If everyone puts in their two cents in, the site would be a lot more current.

Here's why I ignore Brosh:

QuoteDear non Internet Explorer User

Viewing Brosh web site is possible
only with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and up.
Brosh Uses special elements in order to provide
the fastest result when a web page is requested
these elements work best with explorer 5 and up

I've never heard of them.  I assume that's the case for many people :dunno:

I've used that site several times.  I do agree it needs some new input.

Cure for headaches:
Martha's Way
Take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.
Maxine's Way
Take a lime, mix it with tequila, chill and drink.

Who are Brosh?!

And if their site only supports IE5 and up.....I won't be visiting them either!

Oh come on guys.

I'm a huge Linux user, and Even I boot up IE in wine on occasion.

In the words of Dr. Evil:

They have nice kevlar gear, and supply stuff to Law enforcement and the military.
I actually knew about them before they had a site.  You could say they know how to work with Kevlar. :-)

Only downfall is, yes, using IE to access the site, and two they are in Isreal, so it takes a week or two for stuff to arrive.
Good pricing, and I've seen their stuff hold up well in bad situations.

They want you to use those browsers so they can gather marketing information about you while you surf the internet.  Cookies would be illegal in any other domain of business, but unfortunatley it's still okay for a website that deals primarily in gathering visitor's data to write to your hard drive.

That's all fine and good.

Any time I use IE for an IE Only site, I'm usually running it via WINE, under Linux, and on top of that I use it just for that site.

So really. I could care less about IE only sites.  If I try to hit a site with Mozilla, Konqueror, or Fire-Whatisitsnametoday and it warns me I just fire up IE, do what I need, clear my cache, etc, then shut it down.

I'm really not trying to start a flamewar, but as a off-and-on web developer sometimes cookies are quite useful for e-com engines.  Too bad a lot of people out there abuse the hell out of them.

And yes, for the record,  I see no reason why *ANY* site should lock out a browser, but if it happens, I'm not that bothered by it, after all, that's why some browsers let you modify the agent string.

Hell yeah there's good cookies - like the ones here that remember who i am.
I wish people were more knowledgable about them because then they'd be regulated properly. I'm not totally against them. Technology is just running away from ethical discussion and legislation at light speed.
