Yup... called vacuum lock... some bikes will even dent the tank from vacuum... I guess the tank is made of such thin crap... not the GS... its made of boiler plate...
Cool.

Had this happen to me whilst I was doing my Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) which is mandatory before you even get out on the roads in the UK.

Luckily the instructor figured it out for me and we had to keep stopping every few miles to release the vacuum.

Not a happy bunny since it was a brand new bike! Not long after I went on a 40 mile run and the throttle cable snapped!  6 months later the genny burnt out.  To say the bike was a piece of c**p is an understatement.  I sold it and got the GS125 not long after!

I know that Suzuki had a problem with this on the GSX-R's a few years back.  Even the race bikes (1000's) occasionally had this problem during races.  Sorry for your luck man, hope you get the problem fixed  :thumb:
