Quote from: MachetiThankyou so much everyone that helped, the diodes work perfect and for 60 cents. That was so simple now to slow down the flashing I installed 2 of the aforementioned el-12's instead of the original flasher modules and it works perfect. so for anyone who wants to try it all it takes is 4 LED's from walmart, diodes, flasher modules, and creativity, once again thanx guys.

where exactly are you hooking the diodes up to?  Where is the wire for the turn signal light? (I assume the indicator light?)

Where do you get the diodes?  I looked at walmart, advanced auto and cyclegear, no luck  :dunno:

I've got the turn signals already, I need whatever you put inline with the wires to get them to work properly.  They blink 4 at once

Do I need the EL-12 thing or the diodes http://www.customdynamics.com/load_equalizer_diodes.htm

I saw the EL-12 at advanced...

If the link does not work go to ww.mouser.com and search for part # 512-BAY73.  $.06 each but minimum shipping to my house is $7.19.

If you live in a big city then somewhere in that city is a proper electronics supply store. The kind of place guitar players go to get tubes for their old fender amps. In that store on a shelf next to the resistors you will see little packages of diodes. Find the cheapest diodes rated at least 20v and 500ma. You'll have to buy a package of 5-10 and it should cost $1-5.

If you disconnect the indicator in the instruments, it should blink properly but you wont have an indicator.

Go to an auto parts place and get a wagner 552 flasher unit. Straight fit into a 89-98 or whatever GS ... newer than that the stock flasher is electronic ...
Cool.

I've got an 05, does that mean the El-12 won't do me any good?

WTH is EL 12 ... I was talking wagner 552 - electronic flasher as opposed to bi metal that the stock one has.
Cool.
