Ok...

So my new valve cover gasket arrived today and I started putting everything back together. Nicely laid out fuel routing and all that fun crap...

I take the tank over to Circle K and put one gallon in it.

It's weeping from the petcock... I sort of prepared myself for this possibility since some por15 has solidified in that area, but I was hoping it was smooth/flat/even enough not to leak.. WRONG ( of course, right? )

So now I need more ideas... What can I do to stop the weeping?

I guess the trick is to get Item #10 in this BiakeBandit diagram to be fuel-tight, yes?

Can you sand down whatever is keeping it from sealing?

my carbs started acting up again
every bike i ever buy from now on will be fuel injected. these carbs suck.

not to hijack or anything :)

Ha ha ... fuel injected ins't going to help you... those also crap out and are harder to analyse and fix...
Cool.
