Plan my honeymoon

Gettin' married Saturday and we need a honeymoon!! We had planned on going to Daytona Beach because a family member was going to let us use their time share, but we changed our minds last minute. She HATES excessive heat and Florida is a hot, humid wasteland in late August!!

New plan is for a roadtrip. We're leaving S.E. Virginia Sunday afternoon and will have a week to get back. I think we're going to head North via U.S. 13 through the Eastern Shore and maybe hit Ocean City MD that evening and stay for a day. From there we're wide open. She's more of a planner than I am, so I need to put together a trip outline to put her mind at ease. She needs to know roundabout where we're ending up each day. If anyone has any suggestions North, West, etc. of Ocean City as far as things that would be super cool or to avoid at all costs, I'd love to hear your ideas. The only big attraction we're not really interested in is NYC because I grew up in NY and we're there twice a year already. Let's hear it!! Thanks.

I wish! Road Atlanta is the opposite direction...and the VIR dates don't fit. Ironically this is going to be the first year I miss AMA at VIR. Her birthday is Sept. 18 and I promised her I'd take her out that night. I also committed to covering the motorcycle dirt drags in Surry, VA on the 19th - all before I realized it was AMA weekend. DOH!!
