OK, I know what needs to be done to the bike before storage, but my problem is where to store it. I can rent a public storage shed for $70 month but I'd rather not leave my new bike out in the cold. I did some searching and found a place in New York that stores bikes heated indoors and allows you access to work on your bike during the winter. I live too far from New York so does anyone no if such a service exists somewhere around the Baltimore/DC area? I really wish I had a garage, or a 1st floor apartment so I could bring the bike into my living room.

yep, it's called my house, and it's free for storage, but a monthly gas stipend is normally applied of a minium of $25, any maintance will be extra.... :)

Don't you have any local bike shops that offer storage?

If i had to i would buy a bike cover and jus leave it in the driveway. The cover wont protect it from the cold but i will keep it shielded from snow/rain and stuff, there pretty cheap
