I got a gmail account because I have a friend that works at google. How did you get the invites?

A friend invited me and after you use it for some time, you can invite other people as well..

As an added bonus Gmail doesn't seem to choke when you try to use non-roman charecters. Hotmail kinda works, but you have to change the language first. So I'm lazy.
