new guy... i am noticing some basic problems

Alright i have had this problem only a few times and it is only when it is cold it seems.  My bike will not turnover at all ill let the bike sit for 10 min then it will.  I suspect either a bad contact or ground some where in the bike but other than that i have no clue. it starts find when it is warm out.  Any one got any solutions?

the bike is a 95 i have tried removing the start cylinoid but that did nothing to help me. I figured out how to hot wire the bike though, so i can still ride it for now.
