I was wondering if any one has messed with the stock exhaust system to acheive a more noticible exhaust note or more power or both? Can holes be drilled someplace or packing be removed? What is inside of that stock can anyway?

I would like to know this as well.

I drilled 3 holes in the baffle.  Seemed to pull better at higher RPM than before, but I think it sounds really uh...crappy?  Yeah, crappy.  I'm saving up for a Jardine full system, so hopefully that'll sound better than the stock POS exhaust.

Don't bother drilling your exhaust can - sounds like crap.  Lound and annoying.  I sealed mine up after trying it.

also drilled, hated, and replaced.
if you want to be really sassy, you could drill out the inner part. I'm sure that would be very loud.

Just find a cheap dented slip-on for any bike and flip a guy at a muffler shop $5 to weld it on for you.

i drilled mine and dont like it much either....sounds alot like a weak sv650

Thanks for the comments. I'll keep looking for something better over the winter.
