hey, i'm just gonna put these up for a few days, then delete them, cause i know we're only supposed to have like 1 picture in the photo album, but i don't know where else to list them, so i'll just get rid of them, but anyway,

we got the new sprocket on and took her bike to the parking lot to try it out, i was real surprised on the highway it said i got her bike up to 95, which is a lot nicer than the 75mph top speed i was counting on, i still don't think it feels nearly as strong as it should, i think it still needs a little engine work, like the jets, but i don't know how to do that stuff yet, but anyway, it came up pretty nice, so here's some pictures of me and heather messing around, and one of her on another kids 900rr, i liked that thing

i cut off the passenger pegs, which makes it look a ton cleaner, but i need to find a way so i can just bolt them back on, because as far as parking lots, there'd be a lot more you could do with that left peg on there, but i'll figure something out eventually,

so how much easier is it to do a wheelie now?
1991 Suzuki GS500E , a bunch of crap done to it :)

what tail do you have on the gs.....i was gonna say put your left foot on the grab handle but......its gone.

johncam4

i had -1 +10 on mine...wish i went +15 or +20 but its still alot more fun.......ive switched back to stock cause recently at school ive been putting on nothing but highway commuting miles.

The GS looks 1000 times better with that solo tail on there.  Is there space under the seat?  What is it from?  $$$?  Fill us in on that

check out www.photobucket.com for some free image hosting.  You can keep your photo album private but still link to forums

75mph expected top speed?  some pretty extreme gear change?  I must have missed a previous post, I normally cruise at an indicated 80-85 on the freeways around here.  Have you had a chance to ride a somewhat stock bike to get a feel for how fast the GS is in good, stock, running condition?  Its pretty zippy but if you're used to your S4, it will feel slow.  If you haven't already, PM Bob Broussard for info on his ignition advancer (also can search the forum).  Its a great mod but its most drastic on CA model bikes

well before i couldn't get the bike to come up any more than a few inches, it comes up pretty easy now, but i'm reving it just about as hard as i can when i drop the clutch, so it's hard to say how it'd compair to a stock gs, i've ridden hers stock, and it wasn't gonna come up at all, but that's also counting in that i dont' know how strong the engine is running compaired to what it's supposed to be doing, the progressive springs made a big different in the front, i've still got the sv shock i need to put on the back, i'm not sure if that's gonna help with wheelies or make it harder,

i should've left the left passenger peg on, there's that hole where the tail plastics used to stick in, i think i'm gonna try and bolt that onto the hole for the old grab bar, and wrap some hose clamps around the sides so it can't spin, just for messing around on, but yeah, it's an R1 tail, r1 seat we had to cut down, r6 tail light, there's all kinds of space under the back of the tail, but there's no undertail on it, so you can't really stick stuff in it, not to mention it's all bolted to the tail, it doesn't just pop up or anything, i need to make an undertail eventually, but i'm not sure if it'll have accessable trunk space or not, the tail was about $40, seat was $30, tail light was like $10, i don't know, makes it look a lot nicer, we wanna make the exhaust a highmount, but first we need to find someone who can weld and bend pipe, and hope they don't want too much, cause it shouldn't be hard, but i'm off to class

woot!!!!

by the way tt_four.. you look like a girl in one of the pics.. are my eyes deciving me?

anycase woot for the wheelies.. and stunts. Who knew the GS could do that. Love teh single seat.

haha, yeah, it goes heather, heather, heather, heather, me, me, heather, she's the one doing all of them except the one of the wheelie and the one of me in my t shirt with my legs over the bars, and then that's her on the fireblade, and incase no one had figured it out, it's sukigirl85, ooh, and by the way, you better change that to "you look like a girl in 5 of the pictures" before she see's it

If you're looking for cheap low end power, the ignition advance will give you a crisper throttle response. Bob B. will do one for you for 5 or 10 bucks. Nice guy, that Bob. I also see you've got the V&H exhaust. If you've got K&N pods too, it's time for a jet kit. If not, the K&N's and jet kit are the next logical mod. Cool bike though. Dig the tail.

tt_four

i'm pretty sure it's got an ignition advancer, as well as a jet kit, but i've been talking to jakeb42, who lives right by me, and he's been trying to help me out some, although we haven't been able to get together with the bike to look at it, but i think the guy who had it before me, put in jets that were too big, because as soon as i get to 5k rpm up through 6k, there's barely any power and it kinda sputters, and sounds like it's dumping too much gas in there, so i think the jets are just the wrong size, but maybe over winter i can figure it out

jake42

tt. if we could get together with the bike for a couple hours we could pull those carbs and take a look at the jets.  You could also ride mine which has almost exact same setup as heather's, minus the gigantic rear sprocket.  Mine will pull the front pretty easily with the 15t up front.  Oh and thanks for the mirror.

JakeD-getting your nipple pierced is not crazy. Killing a drifter to get an errection? Now that's crazy!

SPARKPLUG1977

Check your plugs. That is the quickest way to figure out whether to go up or down when jetting.

we finally pulled out the spark plugs and compaired it to those ones on the page, only thing, is how close is this to the color a spark plug will be when it's running rich?

mine was a darker brown with maybe a little red, no where near the color of the picture, but it seemed to fit the discription, but i guess that means it's running rich, now i just need to figure out how to fix that, i know, i know, 140 mains, something for the other one, adjust the float height and put in some washers, that means nothing to me :dunno: i'll figure it out, thanks for that website though
