Mine already went out after like 2,000 miles...is that normal...is that hard to replace?...
Ride? Hell ya, why walk?

Easy to replace, just reach behind the instruments and remove the rubber boot, then remove the metal clamp, and the light will come right out. Replace with an H4 headlight, available at Wal-Mart. Not normal though.

Vibrations and heat.  Those get my vote, anyway.

Replace with a Sylvania Silverstar.  Best bulb that I tried...and I tried LOTS of them.

I think too much handling and touching of the bulb can cause a premature death.  Probably the installers/assemblers fault.
