I am going to check out a '94 GS500E tomorrow night to possibly buy.  The seller is asking $2000 for the bike which has an advertised 9000 miles on it.  After doing some searching, I think this bike is over-priced.  So my question to all of you is; How much do you think this bike is over-priced (if at all)? and What do you think I should be looking for when I go to see it?

This will be my first bike (if I can get the price down) so, anything you can suggest would be greatly appreciated.

Just a side note:  The bike is red...according to this site the GS didn't come in red in '94...comments?

Overpriced by about $500-$700, I'd say.

Thanks for the advice!

If you like the bike and it has no apparent major problems, offer him $1500. If he doesn't take it, walk - you'll find a nice one for that. Especially now that it's late in the summer, bike prices will fall off a little.

OK You'd be surprised... In NC bikes are not selling better than ever... summer we were a bit slow IMHO... Also with crapool opening the cheap bikes have shot up in $$$.
Cool.
