I've had my permit for around two and a half months now. I wish I could take it with my baby GS but the ignition coils dead  :o  Though I've ridden dirtbikes for ages, having to take a test on middleweight cruiser with 86 hp might be a mistake. I guess I'll see  :)  It's schedualed for friday.

If you can reschedule it, i highly recommend taking the MSF course. I learned so much takin it, AND it voids the road test. TAKE IT! hehe

Road test costs 5 dollars. MSF costs alot more =| I'm only really concerned about the cones  :o

As am i (broke college student) but savin the 150 up for the class (im under 21, and its required for me in california anyways) was totally worth it. However if you think you will do fine on the test right on. I still recommend taking the class after the fact just to learn more skills, and its REALLY REALLY fun.

Go buy 2 $12 ignition coils from an auto parts store. Put those on and ride the GS. I lent mine out for my buddies to take their tests. Trying to navigate a series of cones on a supersport is a tad more difficult.

would it be smart to just take hte test, and if I fail it, then take the MSF?  And is it the MSF or the BRC that you ahve to take to void the road test in california??  ionno??  lol.  Anyways, I was just wondering if by taking the road test, I can't take the MSF anymore.

Daniely

You can always take the MSF course. However in california if you take the MSF course it VOIDS the road test. Even if you fail the test you can still take the MSF course, take your certificate to them, and hey no road test lol. Good stuff.
