New GS

[D-Day]

Hi,

Bought a 89 GS 500 that was for sale on this board a month ago in Minneapolis for $400.  It wasn't running (broken cam chain tensioner, which caused the valves to touch, bending two of them) and I had to fix that.  I also put rearsets on, a quarter fairing, clubman bars and mirrors.  Next on the to do list is a Bandit 400 wheel (already have) and a Katana rear shock (on the way)

I really like the videos on your site...the one on hwy 129 is awsome...It too am from Minneapolis and was wondering where is hwy 129 or is it out of the state?

I am actually from Berwyn IL, just west of Chicago.  Hwy 129 is better known as "The Dragon" and is just outside of Deal's Gap NC.  311 turns in 11 miles.  Well worth the trip.
