dead signal

u may have seen my other post. i just put on new signals yesterday and even last nite i noticed that the front right signal was blinking fast some of the time (indicates a soon to be burn out).  well today it went.  question is, could this just be a bad bulb or did i screw up the wiring. i had to splice it in.
