Just got a package in the mail today from RoundBall. These may not look like much to some people but these are the bushings I need to mount a RGV swing arm to my GS, still using the stock GS wheel and drive gear. I have not fitted the swingarm completely in the frame yet since I have the bike supported by a rod through the pivot point.

They fit perfectly in the swingarm. The axle and pivot bolts slide in perfectly as well. The spacers for the axle are a little long (about 0.5mm-1.0mm) but I will trim them down as needed. I knew they would be too long since I could not get a good measurement due to the play in the chain adjusters. I thought I would need a longer axle but looks like the stock axle can be used with just using a thinner washer on the nut side.

A brake caliper hanger has yet to be designed as I needed to have everything mounted to get proper measurements. The hanger will be supporting a 04 GSXR caliper and eliminate the torque bar.

Looks good!  Those spacers should be easy to face on a lathe to get them to the correct length :thumb:

One of my goals in a house is to have a nice, small CNC tool room mill and a lathe in my car hold (garage :nana: )

chances are that it will take forever to get those because there are a million other things I "need" when I finish school :lol:

I do have a very old small lathe that can handle about 12" long material, so that won't be a problem.

It is stiffer than the stock swingarm and will flex less with a built motor. A whole lot lighter too. I do not recall the weight difference but it at least 1-2 pounds less and being unsprung weight helps the suspension. Also, it looks really cool!

I test fitted the swingarm in the frame today. The bushings are about 1mm too thick. It will not fit between the frame mounts. No problem. I can trim a little off. My lathe is good enough for this. Typical of R&D....but I love doing this stuff!

Not sure if I will have the time to get everything installed before going to CMP the end of this month to really test it.......but maybe I will.

also i was trying to use the same bushes on my bike....i need more mm +2  :?  so total 12mm

and if you want i can make other one//

You made the bushings exactly to my drawings.  :thumb:

I intentionaly made a couple of the dimensions too big since I could not get very good measurements. Mainly the clear dimension inside the frame at the pivot points. Easier to remove material. I removed 1mm from each of the pivot spacers so they are now 7mm thick (originally 8mm).

The fit of the wheel inside the swingarm is perfect. I based the axle bushings around the thickness of the stock caliper hanger. This leaves me with several options of how to mount the brake caliper.

I still need to trim a little off of the axle spacer where it fit into the chain adjuster slots. Probably remove 2mm to leave 24mm (orginally at 26mm). This should allow me to retain the use of the stock axle.

Being impatient, here it is installed.....

What rearsets and rear shock do you have on your bike? They look really nice!

The rearsets are Woodcraft. I added the shift linkage so it could be set up for GP shift

The shock is a Fox Twin Clicker. It is from a FZR. Longer than stock so the upper shock mount had to be relocated. I did not modify this one, but it is not hard to do. I just mounted a 04 GSXR600 shock in my other bike. It was a little tight but fit with a custom upper mount and GSXR linkage.
