thanks for the links...I'm taking the bike to an inspection station monday morning and see what they say....either way I think I'll keep the leds, because they're bright as hell at night (I actually once got a compliment about them from a guy on a harley    they usually don't even wave!) and it's my ass on the bike, so if they keep someone from ass blasting me it's worth the risk of a ticket....

so tonite i went at my tail lights. apon closer ovbservation i noticed the lights DO get brighter and that the low filament was out on one bulb.  so i replaced the bulbs.  one thing i noticed tho.  when the hand brake is applied it gets brighter (duh) but then when i apply the foot brake in addition to the hand lever or even by itself, the lights get even brighter. weird.

wont agree there, ive known some wemen that could out drive the most competent of men i know. 2 of them do race. and 1 of them rides circles around most the crew i ride with including stunts.
