Skip Twist I.  Too track oriented.  TOTW II is said to be much better.

Gary S. Jaehne's Sportbiking: The Real World 1 and 2 lives up to its title.  Google some reviews.

Proficient Motorcycling by David L. Hough is a pretty good book for techniques and general information about riding safe in a number of situations.  Pretty comprehensive.

"Smooth Riding" by Reg pridmore. i really liked it. his background is track, but everything is road oriented. after reading it I feel much more confident, especially in rain.

"Sport Riding Techniques"  by Nick Ienatsch.  He's a journalist and a racer.  Great photos that help explain the techniqes. Tells about racing and street riding.  You can order it through Amazon through the main page of this board.  About $20 and you get it in 2-3 days

Proficient Motorcycling and More Proficient Motorcycling (David L. Hough) and Total Control (Lee Parks) are all excellent.  Total Control has some neat practice exercises that can be set up in a vacant parking lot.

Lee Park, Total Control.  Good read - More focus on street techniques.

Another vote for Nick Ienatsch's "Sport Riding Techniques."  I feel it gives a good balance of advice for riding smoothly/correctly on the street, and how you would apply that to the track.

I bought both of Hough's books, and read them from front to back.  They were extremely helpful, and I plan on reading them often to keep myself sharp...
