Bar Ends

Hi, I am a new GSTwin owner, recently purchasing a 2002 GS500. THis may be a stupid question but here goes,  I noticed that the very end pieces on each handle bar are slightly tilted down.  They  both are the same and the bike has never been dropped..  Is this the way they are supposed to be or are they actually bent.   Any replies are greatly appreciated

I recently got an 02' also and mone did the same thing. There are two nuts on the bar ends used to compress the rubber and make them stay in place. If you remove the inside nut  (you'll see when take them out) and put a washer there instead it should make it less likely to bend away from the bars (at least it did for me).
