I should have called in "sick" yesterday and today. It was 79f yesterday and close to 70f now.
Common sense in not very common.

I **really** need to get this GS road worthy....soon. Dgyver's in the same county as I am and he ain't lyin' about this weather.

Saw a sad, but typical thing today. I am on PTO this week and my youngest son wanted a new computer chair. We went to a local office supply salvage store that has great prices. One boy there has a shiny new GSX600R. Well it was shiny and new until I walked up to it today and saw the road rash on the bodywork.

I whispered to the checkout girl "When did he scratch up his bike?"  "Oh my god, just last week! He left the parking lot going too fast and hit some water at the edge of the road while turning out. He just slid down onto the road. I was ahead of him and saw it in the mirror and just slammed on brakes and got out of my car right there in the road."  They were all leaving work after closing and I guess some rain puddle got him.

Damn shame. Brand new '05 gixxer. Still road worthy, but I bet the rider is more careful now.

Going to the place I saw an shiny new CBR F4, rider with a dew rag, shorts, looked like he had a ballistic jacket of some kind. I hope he stays OK and doesn't get "puddled" like the gixxer rider.

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??

I was up 'till 4 last night too, but I still came into work.  Just takes a little practice being functional while sleepy...coffee helps too... but guaranteed by about 3pm I'll be curled up in a ball under my desk.   :thumb:

Hey, I'm the boss and I took the day off.  Mental health day.  Went riding with another guy on my DL650 for 6 hours.  I did about 285 miles.  Nice roads in Pennsylvania.   We stayed mainly on the local roads except on the way back.  Came back in a hurry.  The other guy had a DL650 also.  We lost track of time and he had to pickup his son from school.  He did just about 100 miles in 1 hour and 20 minutes.  I stayed with him for a little while but backed off to 85 to 95 mph.  I was not in a hurry.  He was doing burst of 125 on route 78.  Too much construction and trucks on that road.  So much for riding to relieve stress.
