Kerry

Perfect!  That way I can give my kit the once-over without having to pay any postage...

PS:  richard, I have non-metric "duplicates" of the tools ... but only 1 extra shim.  I rechecked my clearances 2 or 3 weeks ago, and luckily they were all acceptable.

that would probably work fine... my clearances, I think, are too big, not too small, so non-metric should narrow it down enough.

One of these days I'll have to find time to do it.

Great news! I just saved a bundle on car insurance by switching to a motorcycle!

Jazzzzz

Where are the kits currently?  I have not gotten any replies from dnorwoo to my PMs, and as far as I can tell he's the last one to have the east coast kit.

Queball

Think I was getting a kit from buildapart when he gets his shim situation ironed out. That is unless someone had dibs before me.

billdapart

Well I finally did get the shims from the stealership. I finished my valves late yesterday. The kit has been boxed up and it's ready for shipping tomorrow morning to Queball.

Queball let me know if you'd rather I sent the kit to Kerry first. If his buddy has some smaller shims it might help you out when you get it. Either way is fine, but if Kerry would like his kit back...we should definitely make sure he sees it soon.

THanks again for this awesomeness mooderator    :thumb:

I'd like to take my chances with what is there because I don't think my valves have ever been adjusted on this bike and I need to get it done. It makes noise above 6000rpm and so I haven't run my bike above 5 grand for awhile. I have some mods to do to the bike but I'm waiting on the valves because I want the peace of mind that they are right.

Ry_Guy

I'd like the east coast kit next. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it goes from Queball - Kerry - Jazzzz? - Me.

pandy

Hi!

Can I get on the list for the west coast kit?

Thanks!!

I am sorry I have not sent the kit yet, but my brother passed away and I have been busy with funeral arrangements.  I will send the kit this week.

dnorwoo

The east coast kit goes to Jazz right? :dunno:

If you think otherwise speak up before I send it Wednesday.

billdapart

Ok,

Kit was finally sent this afternoon next day to queball.

Sorry for the delay guys, I was held up having unexpected surgery on my foot.

Thanks again for the kit Kerry Guru Man.

I got the kit today from bildapart. Thanks. I'm going try to find some time to work on it tonight. As far as I know it goes to Ry_Guy next.

Could I please get the West Coast kit next? I'm sorry, but I am not sure what else I need to do in order to get it.

If I need to give more info, please PM me.

Dave

Man, I want some wine right now. Some pinot noir...yeah, that sounds nice

Queball

I'm done with the kit. Ry_Guy I think is next.

The video was great, saved me lots of time. Thanks Kerry.

The problem now is that there are a bunch of 2.65 shims, and nothing under until 2.40. I got lucky and was able to find a proper shim. The next guy may not get so lucky.

Jazzzzz

East coast kit arrived today, I will be doing the valve job by Friday afternoon.  Who's up next?

pandy

Is this the west coast kit?

I asked to get on the west coast list a few posts ago...could I please be removed? I have heard from a few people that doing the valves at 600 miles isn't usually necessary.

I'll repost when I am actually ready.

Thanks,
Dave
