lowering gs.  hi i have just bought a 94 gs for my wife and need to lower the seat height she is just 5ft tall so it needs to be more than just cutting away the seat foam.i was thinking maybe softer spring , longer shock linkage any suggestions much appreciated.     steve

Do a search for "dogbones" or "lowering" and you will find a good set of applicable message threads.  :thumb:

Also, slide the fork tubes through the tripleclamps.

I am 5ft same height as your wife and very light weight

I bought a 2000 GS500 today they softend the suspension in the back and front I think and I believe they lowered the handlbars not sure about that tough it still is a little tall for me so I am now dragging the seat to be shaved down hopefully this works or else I will have to deal with touching the ground with my toes or just buy some thicker sole boots.

Switch out rear shock with a Bandit 600.  Lowers 1" to 1-1/2". :thumb:

I've never purchased one myself, so I can't vouch for quality or durability.

Hope this helps.

just to throw out another idea, she can get some riding boots that lengthen her inseam.  I ended up with a pair of Daytona's that add another inch to my reach.  And they're goretex to boot (har har)
