Shock Adjusting tool for GS500

Does anyone know where to find the shock adjust tool?  In the alternative, does anybody have a secret way for adjusting it that doesn't require the tool?  Thanks.

got my dealer to do my preload and lower front end an inch for free.
they will probably tell you if you ask.

Rear shock?  It should be in the tool bag that comes with your bike.

I got the bike used and never got the tool, so I assume it is possible to get it pretty cheap then.  Last time I asked a dealer he didn't even want to look, but said he would do it for like 15 bucks.  He probably would have just pocketed it.

Somebody here has used a drift (or a large screwdriver) and a hammer or mallet of some kind.  I believe they place the tip of the drift against the side of one of the elongated holes in the collar and WHACK the other end.  Repeat as needed.

You can use a hook spanner



You should be able to get that in a good toolshop. The only spec you need is the diameter of the adjustment collar.
