I installed these yesterday on my gs500f.  It was fairly easy, except for a couple of things.

1.  The screws on the switch assy on the left side are easily stripped.  I stripped one, although not that bad, makes the assy a little loose.  so be careful with those screws when tightening them.

2.  The brake cylinder assembly, I have yet to figure this out.  I had to stick the throttle a little bit off the handlebars to fit the brake fluid cylinder as it hits the Odometer housing.  What has others done?  An advice would be appreciated.

I'll try to post pics later...if i find my digi cam  :dunno:

i don't think there's much you can do about it...you can try sliding the bar all the way to the right. you can almost clear it that way.

what i did was rotate the master cylinder so that the brake hose bolt goes behind the speedometer face plate
My hunch was right...Pandy is the biggest Post Whore!

I installed mine, and after a few days of riding, I re-adjusted them again.  I had to get a friend to help hold the bars flat on the triple while I adjusted the brake master cly. level and around the gauges.

It took me a while to get it right, but I finally got it :thumb:

i angled mine a little bit off the triple.  maybe that's what the problem is, i'll have to try them flat  against it.  i pretty much have the  brake cylinder rested on the housing of the odometer.  don't know if that's how its suppose to be.

how exactly do you rotate the cylinder  like pablo did?

I got them too.

On the brake cylinder,  The big bolt on the left hitting the speedo; angle it down behind the speedo.  you might have to push the bars forward more til the bars touch the speedo.  iI have mine push forward and the tip of each bar is touching the speedo under the rim, then the brake cylinder angled with the big bolt (on cylinder) behind the speedo.
I have pics but don't know how to put them on.  :x

picture posting is so easy and there really should be a sticky about this.  the easiest way to do this is, post your pictures on a picture hosting site such as www.photobucket.com, and hotlink to the picture in your thread/post on gstwin. its so easy and completely free.  just make sure u choose a host that allows hotlinking.  photobucket.com works for me and so many others :)

here's stephen's image - thanks by the way

mine's pretty much the same, i angled it off the triple a little bit since i have longer arms.  i might have to flush it like so to get the brake cylinder off the tach housing.  also, my gas throttle is off the bar by about 5 mm.  i'll have to figure out what to do with that as well.

ok...finished with the bar and got the cylinder settle fairly ok.  the nut on the left side of it is under the tach housing.

one question, since the brake hose is now "scrunched" up a little bit with this lower positioning,  is this gonna be an issue later on? or even on braking?

how durable are these hoses, i'm a little scared since it feels like the hose is gonna snap in half because its so hard.   :dunno:

The hoses are tough ... but the damn banjo, bolt, and the threads in the M/c is not ... I have had a crash in which that was hit on something ... and that broke the bolt and boogered the threads in the M/c ... You dont want it likely to hit stuff ... cos a reservoir cannot be helicoiled ... adios to reservoir ... if it gets threads screwed up.
Cool.

Here is my 4 weld ones ... probably should sell these to GSer's ... IMHO they suck on a GS ... work great on a SV ... made for an SV, and sold 6 to the local SV boys ...
Cool.

They are ... now the deal is ... buy the 2 weld ones and get these free ... only 1 at that deal ... cos I only got 2 ... and need 1 for future ...
Trust me the 2 weld ones work 1000 times better on a GS ... Just because it "fits" dont make it the right one ... with a sledge hammer and a crowbar I believe I can make anything "fit" ... Why dont ya drive down to my house and try them all ...   ... charlotte is by North click ... Heck it is North click ...
Cool.
