I just got new needles for my crab and have adjusted them. My question is do I need all the crap off of my old needles to go on my new ones.  Then old needles have a washer then the e-clip then a plastic washer and then another washer.  Do I need to put any of the old washers on my new needles??

Im sure this wont be the last jetting question I have.

New needles ... DJ or stock ... and why ... I have not seen needles wear ... even if they do its not enough to affect anything ...
Anyway answer to your question is ... yes ... the new should be exactly like the old ones as far as spacers and washers etc ... BTW washer under the e clip = someone has installed it there ... the plastic spacer is all there is stock ... someone has added a washer ... as a rejet or just by itself
Cool.

hmmm

my DJ's had:

plastic donut washer, eclip, metal washer, plastic washer w/ ridge

that doesn't make sense though.. shouldn't it be donut washer, metal washer, eclip, plastic washer w/ ridge?

ok so i am transfering eveything to the new needels.  I guess the onlything differnt with the new needels are that they are adjustible with the e-clip.

I got my needls in my factory pro jet kit for my 2002.

funney thing about those kits though.  It claims that the 2002 is stock with a 125 main.  mine has a 127 and i am the only owner.  called the dealer and he said that they did nothing to it.  The washers also made me wonder out a presale rejet.  anyway the the dealser said that something the factory may have to change things and mine gs might be differint then other right out of the factory.    the other thing i wonder is if the 125 main jets were installed in california models and 127 in other models.

Oh well if you rejet it and it runs worse ... you'll know ...  :x
Anyway hold on to the originals and you can switch back ...
