Italian Temptresses

Anyone ever ride a Ducati Monster 620ie or
Moto Guzzi Breva 750?

I'm thinking the Breva would be rather GS500 like performance wise and not really worth it.  I am really lusting after the 2005 monster though, in red of course (this year the trellis is red too).  

All the reviews I've read say it sucks ergo wise and etc.  However, the press isn't too kind to our favorite ride either, so I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with this bike in particular.  I was really interested in the 800 but it's apparently out of production.

At any rate, I've noticed that the monster has a rabid following for an apparently "sucky" bike.

any input would be greatly appreciated as I am considering one for a second bike.

*I am not interested in insane speed.
*Other bikes I am considering are a Bonneville T100 or a Honda Hornet (599) if they bring it back.

I had the original 900 monster. It was a great, fun bike.
A friend had the 750 model and it was an even drag race with my GS.
You can find really good deals on used monsters with lots of extras added by the owner. I wouldn't go smaller than 750.

you should definately consider the monster...my friend has a 750...it's great bike. like bob said don't go with 620...used 800 would be nice or how bout the new s2r

If you want to check out a bike that seems to have a lot of bang for the buck.... They just lowered the price of the "speed four"

Yea dont do with the 620, unless you arent looking for anything all that much faster than the Gs.
The 620 is very anemic.....
