I am going to CLASS school in March and I was wondering if anyone had been to one or was planning on going to one at streets of willow in March.  Jimmy

I did CLASS at Streets last March.  I enjoyed the day a lot, especially since I got to work one on one with an instructor for two full sessions.  I started in the beginners group since I hadn't been to Streets before, but then moved up to the fast group (Reg ran a two group format).  The slower group had a lot of street riders with BMWs and ST1300s and the like.  My bike at that point was track-only and I decided to pay more attention to the instructor I was working with who had done some road-racing and showed me some good lines through the course.  I had been to the school at a Fastrack day at Cal Speedway and didn't find anything too new in the between session chats.  For me, getting feedback and critques from actual instructors who ride behind and in front of you is much more helpful.

Unfortunately in the afternoon I got a little full of myself and lost it coming down through turn 9, which is a fast downhill bend right after the banked turn 8.  That ended my day, but hey, at least I got a ride on the back of Reg's VFR back to the pits.

A lot of guys rode up.  I would suggest that you try to trailer up or pick-up truck your bike up since 1) it will probably be cold 2) the day will tire you out 3) if you wad it up you have a way home

My advice would be to go really slow at first, learn the track, let your tires warm up, seek instruction as much as possible (you have to be proactive) and take breaks when you get tired.  If you get tired, its far better to sit out a session (as expensive at that seems) than it is to make a mistake.

I think a part of my crash was tiredness.  I camped the night before and slept like crap in my tent pitched on  the cold, hard, rocky soil that makes up the Willow ground.
