Who went out for a ride this morning? I'll start, I went on a group ride, went from Montgomery to Pelham. Good for 200 miles of nice secenary. Finally got to test out those new Progressives in some mild twisty's. I was surprised by how good these are. There was this one guy there riding a CBR1000RR. He looked like he had been riding for a while so I ask him when he started. He said March of 2004 was his first year riding :?  I was thinkin, "Is this guy crazy or just a super fast learner?" He said he started out on a 600 and moved up the the CBR. In less than a year he went from being a newb on a 600 to going all out on a 1000. Crazy people these days. I will give him this though, he did pretty good through some or the twisty stuff. Ok I'm done, who else went on a ride on New Years Day?

i took a brief ride, testing out my new bars/progressives. it rode nice, but with no right side bar-end the throttle hand got a bit numb, so I kept it short

I worked on Daniely's and my bike today, along with a buddy's truck in my open garage from noon until about 7 tonight...just had a light jacket on, alternating with just a T-shirt.

Good times, going on a ride tomorrow.  My 'rents rode up to the foothills on my dad's ST2 worth about 50-60 miles today, carrying on their tradition of NYD rides.

i wish i went for a ride but my bike is apart..but about that guy on the CBR, you can't judge everyone that rides a big bike and is not experienced...a lot of ppl start on a 600 supersport and have no problems...then they move up...it's always good to start small but some ppl have self control and learn good on big bikes....a good friend of mine bought a hayabusa for a first bike...he rides just like most of the young guys do, he's 24 and knows the limits...i'm not saying it was smart what he did but he's a big guy and didn't feel comfortable on a small bike so he got a hayabusa....so far so good for him

it was too cold in LA.. or i would have gone for one.

If that were here in Fortlauderdale (that snow) i would probly be one of the few with screws in his tires on purpose. but then, i dont think you could get me to come to the window let alone outside.

I did.. to work.... and ran smack into a hailstorm. Fun fun fun. I had little red welts on my legs when I got there. Theyre gone now, but damn those hailstones stung.

The last week was wonderful ... had 3 people test ride the bikes ... had friends come over and shoot the shaZam!, went everywhere in shorts and shirt ... just plain nice nice nice ... hey this global warming is nice huh ... I'd say lets crank out some more toxins and blow the ozone into a sieve and enjoy the winter ... or does that ozone hole make it colder ... so we need to fart more ozone ... whatever we are screwing up ... its nice for now ...
Cool.

We had big storm week before Christmas with much snow and ice in driveways and on roads.  Turned warm the beginning of this week and I rode today and past three days.

Kerry, it looked just like that pic you posted here too last week.

Anyway, I rode last 2 days of 04 and first 2 days of 05 for a good start for the new year.   :thumb:

It's getting cold enough here for the s-word to be floated around... I will wimp out and toss the snow tires on the Miata if that comes to pass.

I was afraid someone might notice that....    None of the cars seem to have moved in that early-morning picture.  It must have been the seemingly once-a-year  :x  snowplow visit.

Anyway ... I had nowhere to go, and a bunch of GStwin posts to catch up on after my trip.  Yeah, that's it....
