yes this is going to sound stupid but what mods can be done to and 04 gs500f.  i have been looking everywhere and have found some stuff but reading some of your posts it seems like alot of stuff is universal,  so i guess my question is then what works with the 04.  or what parts are out there for it.

the 04 is essentially the same as the 01-03 naked (and basically only cosmetically different than the 89-00 as well, save some minor mechanical stuff) so many of the same modifications apply.

For a gsxr rear wheel check my site. you have to use a 88-89 750 rear wheel though-not easy to find.

The modifications that might work for your specific bike, the F model, will all relate to the fairing (flush blinkers, mirrors, etc). Otherwise same rules apply to yours that apply to most others.

i live about 15minutes away from the brewery.  it is good....  to bad you live in the south! :lol:  

so does that go for the engine modifications and the front fork spacer too.  i know this sounds stupid but i have to ask before i give this stuff a try i really would like to do that ignition advancer.  do you think that is possiable?

shock mods... should be same

rejet the carbs instead of the ig adv

and it will run much better

there's a really GOOD reason i moved out of the frozen winterland

i do miss friday night lake perch though......

Fork brace ... yea 01-04 is same as 89-00, and I make some in 5/8th thick 6061 aluminum ... thick and ready to bolt in. Yours for $40 and shipping.

So... fenderectomy is still available, 15T sprocket, radial tires, clip-ons since round headlight brackets aren't on the way anymore, you can change tach and speedo clear light bulbs for colored ones. steel hose for front brake, hi flow air filter.. etc.. etc..

I would need some lessons on how to post pictures on the board.

First, you need to store your pics in a publicly-accessible place on the Internet.  For some info on free image-hosting outfits, see the recent Here's info on hosting your own images or avatars thread.

Once you have copied an image to the hosting space, find out the direct URL to the image.

Start up another browser and see if going to that URL will display the image.  If so then it's almost guaranteed that you can post images right in your GStwin posts.  The only thing left is to TRY it.

As you author a GStwin post, click on the "Img" button or just type in [img ].  Then type in (or paste) the URL for your image.  Finish up by clicking on the "Img" button again or by typing [/img].

Click the "Preview" button to make sure that the image will display, and then click "Submit".

Ta-da!

yeah i had posted about the change when i asked bob. B. for an advancer around august.  i actually tried the one he sent me...pre-03 advancer and the bike wouldn't even start.  didn't occur to me that it was changed since i didn't know what the heck pre-03 stock advancers looked like.
