Our new '05 Harley 883L

Well we got this today, my dad got it for me, so i'm not paying for it. He just didn't want me to have to ride my suzuki to big abate events and stuff since some people for the most part don't like sport bikes. So can ride it around town and he can ride it around town too instead of his '04 harley road king. Maybe i will post pics of all the other bikes later. I can't wait for spring.

I took it for a ride today, its about 30 degrees outside

its not mine buy any means, but he got it so he can ride it back and forth to work in the summer, plus his road king is almost paid off. he just bought a bike that me and my brother can ride too since we are shorter its hard to find bikes that fit good. my dad loves motorcycles, i mean he has 6 just for him and then me and my bro have ours and our dirt bikes. i don't wanna come off a spoiled or anything, i mean i pay for my cars and my gs and all my insurance and etc. i just live at home. after my aunt and grandma died my dad has been buying stuff and just having a good time cause you don't know when its going to end. so he just wants us all to have a good time this summer and go camping and ride.

and im definately one that believes in self dependence and knowing the value of a dollar. especially when u earned it.

I'd stop going to the ABATE events before I bought a new bike just to please the people there.  But hey, it's your money.  Or your dad's, as it were.

i hear ya there, when i was a junior/senior year in high school my dad didn't even have a job, but we made it though and now that he has a good job again, he wants to live a little.

He's not doing to to please abate people (he always wanted a harley and he doing it cause he has the money too), but places like the boogie, people will trash your bike. We are very involved in our local abate, we go to meetings and we do all the fundraisers like MDA and Toys for Tots. My dad plays music at most of the events too with his band, we really enjoy it as a family, the local guys don't say anything about my gs, but there are some out there that will harass you about it.

But its a nice bike but when i rode it today, i like my gs much better.

Yea ... but hey I might join the club too ... there is a aluminum tail buell whatever that is called ... around here cheap I might snag if I find a job. Or heck there is also that V-rod that the dude hates cos he got 10K miles on it, and dealers charge $2500 for a valve adjustment and he's not paying that much to do it and its clacking like crazy and I am just so eager to slice its frame and make a removeable section ... My neighbor keeps baiting me with these ... temptation is low now cos I got no job and no money ... but once that's taken care of ... who knows...
