I know the feeling. I too have not made room in my budget for some riding pants but I know I have to. I don't want to end up like this guy.

What a dumb ass! I'm sorry everyone but he was showing off with out proper gear. He did not even have a jacket on. What a complete dumb ass.....Some people need to realize that one slip with a bike and it could cost you more than a hole in the knee. He got off pretty easy considering it could have been his life.

I bought a full leather suit last season,, then a few weeks later, knuckled gloves, and about a week and a half later (not even a month since I got the suit) I go down at 50mph... wearing full leathers, boots, gloves and helmet. 1500$ of safety equipment thats gotten scuffed and scratched.... but it wasnt my skin... accually I got up and laughed after the crash, the irony of me spending all that money and my father laughing at me for it.... by the way my scuffs on the suit looked, I can GARANTEE that sliding the same way without one I would of left in a stretcher.

I have seen it first hand on my son.  He was wearing jeans when he slid on asphalt at 40 mph.   Very ugly sight.   Don't be lazy, it is a pain to put on those leather pants for short rides but you know, accidents happen.

I never go out without looking like a warrior. Hey I am 53, I can't  take one of those spills and got busted all over.
