I have well over 200+ pics, stills and track action. I can get them when I go home for lunch. Any specific type of pics you are looking for?
Common sense in not very common.

1024x768 is not nearly big enough to use in print applications like a calendar...when you shoot with your camera, set it at the highest setting and submit that.
My hunch was right...Pandy is the biggest Post Whore!

The highest resolution I can get out of my Canon G6 is 7 megapixels (3072 x 2304).  Even on the Superfine JPG compression setting, the BIGGEST image I have taken is just under 5MB on disk.

So yeah - what JetSwing said.

canon g6 is a sweet camera...7 megapixels for a point n shoot...that's unbelievable  :?

does it come in black?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "point n shoot" but I bought this one because I wanted more control than my previous "point n shoot".  Sure, the G6 has an AUTO mode, but it also has shutter-priority and aperture-priority and manual modes, 2 custom white-balance settings, and more features than I even understand yet.  Hey, I've only had it for 3 months or so....

Hmmm, I don't think so.  :dunno:

7mp is awesome for a point and shoot.  how much did u pay?  does it have a raw format option for pictures?

I paid something like $480 from Butterfly Photo in New York.  It looks like it's $527 now.

It does have a RAW mode, but I haven't tried it yet.  I would probably need to install the Canon software that came with the camera (or something expensive that I don't have) to goof around with that, yes?

It is significantly larger than my Kodak, which was already a tad thicker than I liked for a pocket camera.  At this point the G6 travels in a cardboard box in my tankbag, with some extra lenses and stuff:

nah u dont need the cannon software.  as long as u can get pictures off the card just use ur photo editing program to open the raw img.  such as adobe photoshop etc.  what kind of media does it use? compact flash, smartmedia...?  do u use a card reader or do u plug the camera in direct to the computer?  the raw format on sum cameras i believe is actually a .tiff which has no compression (someone correct me if im wrong).

well, tiff is not same as raw. tiff is essentially an uncompressed jpeg. whereas raw file is unprocessed and uncompressed (some camera companies do compress the raw nowdays). raw file contains exactly what the imaging chip has recorded. it has camera settings and other technical information which you could  change using a raw image software at a later time. meaning...you don't always have to get all of your camera settings perfect when shooting a photograph. you have an option to correct some of your mistakes. not all...eg...if you shoot an out of focus image, there's nothing you can do to totally correct that.

shooting in raw is great especially if you're shooting something very important. for casual shots, jpg is fine. but i always shoot in raw.  :P

sure you can use photoshop with a plugin to read raw but it's alway best to use the maufacture's software (better functions, process, and workflow). also some raw format may not be supported by abobe.

one good thing is memory card costs have come down so much as of late.

so its better to use manufacture software, like cannon software?
