Ok...i got sri's flange, but I want to smooth out the weld on the "round" thing and the pipe itself...

question...will jb welb melt with high heat from the exhaust?  I was thinking of plastering it so it looks a little better just to cover up the welds.

any other material that may be used ..soft at first then hardens and is heat resistant?  ok...i'm not talking about your jimmy here by the way...hehe.

thanks

can't ya just polish it with a dremel? then paint with high temp paint?

anyway, they sell that muffler putty stuff at autozone for patching holes in mufflers... maybe that would work like you want

I used my dremel and cleaned up the welds and weld splatter a lot.. I think a gorilla welded them..... they'll hold though.. that's what counts I guess

Yea welded by a blind gorilla ... anyway the flange is steel, only the pipe is stainless. The hole in the flange was cut with a torch and hence there were some gaps that needed to be filled. And yes dremel or hand sand and paint is a must.
Cool.
