I just cross my path with this webpage where it says a new 2005 CBR600RR has only 69 HP (PS auf Deutsch) or 51 KW, I guess it's wrong, also 51 Nm is a low torque figure, isn't it?

it says "Honda Announces a Full Model Change for the CBR600RR Super Sport Bike"...meaning they've lowered the hp

ahh...who cares! no one goes to that web site anyway...how did you even find that page??

Just guesisng, but since this are specs for the Japanese market, maybe they have some sort of limitation for the bikes... Like Germany used to have 100HP max.

well, i was looking for the answer for a question about when had Honda came back to motoGP and what bike they did with, so I searched for "honda motogp absence 10 years" or something like that and that webpage came up. And yeah, some sort of power limitation makes sense for the figures, but you don't need such a bunch of edge tech to make 69 ponies...

Quote from: pantabloreal world 105hp at the rear wheel.

Surely the CBR600RR does, but I was wondering how much more power a 2005 makes than a 2004.

最高出力             (kW[PS]/rpm) 51[69]/11,500

I guess this means extra-power so add 69 to the 105 HP of previous models...

The 2005 RR has some added hp but not much over the 2004. The real improvement is in the hardware-USD forks, Radial brakes, 9lbs lighter, etc, etc, etc...

its also been slightly restyled to more closely resemble the 1000rr (front fairing and tail bodywork mainly.
