Rain Gear sizing

My MC club at school does a yearly weeklong trip at the end of the school year, and this year I'm thinking about going.  Probably riding to Deals Gap this year(that's where they went last year, year before they did US41 top to bottom and back)

As I begin to think about this trip, I'm gonna need some raingear, and I'll probably have some other questions in the coming monthes.  I'm just wondering what size to buy raingear in: ie. my textile jacket is a size medium, so do I buy medium raingear to go over it, or should it be the next size up?  Also, any suggestions for preffered brand/model are welcome, though I'm searching old posts too. My one peice rainsuit is in the same size as everything else I wear and it fits over my leathers well. Easy to get on and off too. SO nice to have.

I rode home from my first trackday in this and with my rainsuit (and heated vest) it was very comfortable.

I bought my 2-piece Frogg Toggs outfit a size larger so they would fit over my bulky winter gear.  Maybe if I ever get a "real" winter outfit I could go down a size.  :dunno:

Don't forget rain boots. Rain Totes in size XL to fit over size 8 boots.

I wear a TourMaster two-piece, because I like the versatility of just wearing the jacket if the pants rip; in one-size-larger than the rest of my gear so it will not restrict movement (in an emergency).

I would definitely "try before you buy" if at all possible or at least have some kind of return/exchange policy.

I purchased some Belstaff waterproof pants (size small) from Ebay once. They were roomy enough to fit over some pants. I ended up getting rid of them b/c they leaked. I purchased the next upgrade offered by Bellstaff on Ebay again. Well, the size small was so small I could barely fit my shorts in them. I really wanted something to fit over my clothes. So, I purchased a 1-pc Teknic rainsuit (size small) from www.mawonline.com , but the only thing wrong with it was it being too tight in my crotch area. Go figure. I'm still looking for the right rain gear for myself.
