Thanks in advance

If you're going to put the stock fork springs back in, you need to pour oil into the compressed fork (with springs, etc. removed) until the oil level is 99mm below the open end of the fork.

If you're going to replace the stock springs with Progressive 1128s the measurement is more like 130mm from the top.

Someone may be able to give you the appropriate amounts in milliliters, but if you're wondering how many bottles of fork oil to buy ... 1 should do both forks.

Thanks Kerry. Unfortunaly I can't replace the springs becuse here in Argentina they are very very expensive. :dunno:  I think, if after replacing seals, the front suspenssion is still "weak", put some suplement to compress a litle bit the springs. (is it clear? because my english is not good enough!!  :( )

Thanks a lot.

Welcome! Your english is pretty good. I use volume to measure my fork oil and 377ml to 382ml per fork leg is recommended (I prefer 377ml).

Oops! I think is a little different from the 99mm mentioned before. The total oil used was almost 700cc. (I don't have the bottle now check) May be is less than the recomended, but because its were almost empty now appears to be very well. I can't test it yet becaude the rain. When I could I'll tell you my impression about the poor oil charged.  :thumb:

Thanks again.

Well I just went through the joy of putting my forks back together tonight and you should have just under 500 ML of oil in there.  You can compress the tube all the way down and measure it and it should be a hair under 4 inches from the top, be sure the springs arent in there when you measure.
