LCD monitor on bike

This may sound Crazy to everyone but I am checking to see if i can place a small lcd monitor ( like the ones on the Suvs) on the inside of my windshield connected to a wireless camera that would be recording everything directly behind me and it would display it on the monitor  Why Why why?? so I wont have such a blind spot when im riding tucked in on the freeway. I checked and most of the stuff (Camera, receiver) runs off a regular 9volt but the monitor needs to run from the battery does anyone have any ideas

Cool idea.  You don't even need to use a wireless camera or worry about voltage. I've seen some tiny 110v inverters that would easily fit under the seat.  You might be able to find a LCD color closed circut TV kit.

A cheaper alternative would be some CRG bar end mirrors.  They are convex so you can see directly behind you and in you're blind spot at the same time.  Very cool.  I rarely need to turn my head anymore.  The other plus is that they are far enough out to the sides that my shoulders are never in the way.  Highly recommended.

I have the Hindsight LS, they are good because they fold back like car mirrors if I need to park in a cramped space...like my garage.  :lol:

They are a little pricey...you might be able to find some different bar end mirrors for cheaper at a motorcycle dealer, Ebay, etc.  I bought one on an Ebay auction and I thought it was an auction for two mirrors. DOH!

ditch the mirrors once u converted over

sure its nice and Hi tech, however (sound of bubble Bursting) check your local Laws, i Believe your spose to have a Minimal of ONE FUNCTIONING UNOBSTRUCTED Mirror on the bike.   Not to mention, the local Law enforcment can problibly Fine you No LCD/TV displays are spose to be in view of the driver, Most REAR veiw Camera's to assist in Backing up only Turn on when in Reverse Gear. at least spose to work like that.

Actually a rear camera mount with some form of instrument cluster display will probably be standard in most vehicles in a few years.  It just makes sense and it's getting less expensive to do,.

I bought another bar end mirror which is basically a cheap CRG alternative...it doesn't have the fancy flip-back feature and doesn't mount as far out on the bar...so it provides slightly less visibility, and the glass isn't as concave as on the CRG, but it only cost $10.  I found it at the local bicycle shop and it mounts securely enough that I don't have to worry about it being blown around by the wind.
