Hey People, I am 16 years old and just bought my first bike from a good friend, It's a 1991 Gs500E, I got all the fenders and tank off it and sending it away to get painted. While everything is off what do you guys think i should check.. and look for to see if everything is all rite. I am pretty good around bikes soo help me out. It has 35000 kms soo, i think i should check some stuff out. Thanks Guys Jeff

Ok, that's approx 21k miles so if you are unsure about what has been done before, you'll need to plan on checking your valve clearances, clean/adjust the chain, check the air filter, oil change, check tire psi. You may also want to synch the carbs.

Congrats on your new bike, good choice :thumb:  You'll find lots of help here on how-to's, add-ons and also riding tips etc, as I'm guessing this is your first street bike. :cheers:

I'd add: new sparkplugs, change brake fluid and fork oil; check battery fluid levels.
