2 fingers on the clutch unless stopped.
4 fingers on the brake.

(One finger each on my trials bike.)

Dom

I use my two middle fingers.   :nana:

OMG, I never expected so many people answer my question :thumb:

I think I will start using two fingers for the clutch as well. It will take some time to get used to it...

You use your clutch for aggressive track riding? I rarely use my clutch lever...mostly to start and stop...sometimes to downshift, but not always...

Otherwise 2 finger brake and clutch.

I use 4, not for comfort reasons but in case of a serious accident I don't want to lose little mr. pinkie finger...

I use 2 on both sides. It's way more comfortable for me. Two fingers on the clutch is more than enough to fully disengage. Two fingers on the brake is more than enough to do a stoppie or lock the front tire.

I get full braking power with two fingers and really not that much effort. Maybe all you other people have weak fingers.  :dunno:

Plus, on the clutch, I shift faster and more efficiently with two fingers, because I don't pull the clutch in ALL the way to the grip like I did back in the day when I used four. You don't need to honestly; it's just wasted time and effort.

Was the required braking effort changed in 2004? I can easily brake with two fingers and lock the wheel :dunno: A friend of mine who was delivering my bike from the dealership told me that the brakes are really touchy compared to his bike (he has an older style Bandit, maybe 95...).

2 and 2 most of the time and some time 2 and 3.  This comes from my mountain bike racing.  I have been trying to break the habit and use 4 and 4 like the try and teach you in the safety class.  I find that I use the clutch more for upshift than downshifting.
