best riding temp = best skiing temp

This spring, I've noticed that some of the best riding days, are in the same temperature as good skiing days.  Good skiing happens after you get a snowfall, then a string of days that are 25F and overcast.  If it gets too sunny, then the snow in direct sun gets wet, but the snow in the shade stays dry, and that makes skiing hard.

Similarly, whenever the temps get above 32F (or over 25F plus direct sun), there is snowmelt running down the streets, and that freezes overnight into sheets of thin ice.  But over a few days, the then ice on the road disappears due to salt and sublimation.  

So a string of 20F-25F days with no snow gives a good dry riding surface.

omfg.  Here's my thing... above about 35 degrees and I ride... below that and it's just too damn cold
