Newbie - 2001 Forks on 1997?

Hello everyone.

I'm new to this board but have been a 1997 GS owner for the last couple of years. I also own a Kwasaki ZX9R F2P.

I have a crack in the alloy fork leg of my GS and the genuine new parts prices are extortionate. I've found a breaker who has a pair of complete forks from a 2001 bike but I do not know if these will fit my 1997 GS or not. Can anyone help, please?
