Joe Rocket/SIDI exceptional customer service!

Just about a year ago one member of a forum I am active on crashed badly on his motorcycle and lost his leg. Afterwards, he contacted the respective companies thanking them for the exceptional gear he was wearing, that saved his life. Read his recent comments here regarding the exceptional customer service Joe Rocket and SIDI have responded with.

I just wanted to pass along this so that if you are considering getting new gear that you would consider these companies.

When I had my accident last June, I contacted the three major companies who supplied my gear.

I was wearing Sidi boots, Joe Rocket full suit, and a Shoei helmet.

I informed them all of my accident and basically thanked them all for supplying me with gear which saved my life.

I never received a responce from Shoei. Not a letter, not an automatic reply, nothing.

Joe Rocket and Sidi, however, have been fantastic. No joke. They have contacted me several times since my accident asking me how my recovery is. I'm not talking about an email which says..."hope you feel better...better luck next time" type letter.

I mean true, sincere letters wishing me the best and asking if there was anything they could do. I asked them if they could make me custom boots and a custom suit. Both have agreed.

Joe Rocket's sales manager has been in contact with me. He's waiting on one more clearance, and then he's going to have me go to a tailor around here and get measured for a custom suit. We're in the works. I explained to him that I want one of their best suits. I said I couldn't afford to get hurt again. FWIW, I keep on asking him about price, he keeps avoiding it.

Sidi, likewise, has been incredible. They sent me a list of measurements which they asked me measure. After I got back to them with all of the measurements, they informed me that they are going to send me their top race boots for free. They won't even let me pay for shipping.

I hope all of you will give either company serious thought when purchasing protective gear. There isn't many companies who care enough about their customers. It really is something when the companies themselves start writing letters with concern because they haven't heard from me in a month or so. Free replacement of their top products???? Come on....this is some incredible customer service from both.

Do any of you also have any idea on how I could thank both companies? I was thinking of doing a web page, but, knowing this site, I'd probably get more views by just posting this here then by posting a personal webpage

wow... sad and yet wonderful story. but i'm confused tho. cus' if he lost his leg, how did he measure his foot size? let alone wearing boots.  :dunno:  jest curious.
