My sight window for the front looks like I should change it, its pretty brown

that's from rear... front wasn't much better.  to be honest i didn't think it was that bad.. the little window's deceiving

i would guess it's the first time it's ever been changed (it's a 2001 gs).

the syringes are from work and they've come in handy on more than one occasion in my gs tinkering experience

so that color aint cool?    ..im a newbie so i guess i need to replace mine... :mrgreen: ...drain it and bleed it right? is it hard (bleeding)? :dunno:

i used cummuterguy's method and it works pretty well.

the only thing i would recommend is getting a piece of soft tubing that will fit snuggly into the bleed hole -- much less mess that way.  and also, the front one bled well, but the rear brake takes forever to drain by gravity (not enough height difference).

That is a good reson to change the fluid every year or two. Brake fluid is cheap and easy to change, usually in less than an hour.
