I have a 04 gsF and I like it, I was thinking that the new kaw z750s is awesome I like the look,fuel-injection and it has the same instrument panel as the ZX-10R. The price is not to bad at 6999. So what do you like?

vtlion

Like my SV650S, loved my R6.

I think if money were no object I would give the Kawi636 or GSXR750 a go next.

since money obviously IS an object (heck, I own an SV), I might consider going with a YZF600R or CBRf4i next.

Most important factors to me right now is good mid-range grunt and a top-notch suspension.  The SV only delivers one of the two.

anyway, its years off, so hopefully by then I'll make enough to get the bike that I truely lust for

what IS a Hokie?

Money no object: Aprilia Tuono; otherwise I'd settle for a DR650.

I just picked up a TL1000s a week or so ago.
Love the thing so far and it sounds amazing.
Hanging on to the old GS though.  She will be ridden as soon as the replacement bars get here.  The GS is still more fun in the twisties and cities because of it's light weight, but the TL has a certain cool factor that I like.

Your pic is bigger than my screen John.   :)  Edit: Thanks John.

I've been playing with the idea of replacing my GS500, and my latest "maybe next bike" is the Yamaha FZ-6.  Sat on one at the Detroit MC Show and it felt like the GS500's big brother.

Replacing the GS500 is just an idle thought.  A lot of kooky ideas hit me immediately before I get the bike back on the road.

My previous message just created another idle thought.

If  you're sold on the sportbike style, you might want to research the Trimuph Daytona 650.  I "wore one" for 5 minutes at the same show.  As a sport bike it was not nearly as "jockey-like" agressive as the other bikes in its class.  Although a stronger engine than I might want to contend with, I have a passion for Yellow bikes, and think the styling looks boss.

If the closest dealer wasn't in Detroit I'd really be considering it.

Yeah....I just love that Triumph.....especially since they bumped it up from the 600.....I also really like the styling of the Z1000......but these all take a back seat to the black-on-black SV1000S.....

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

ED: Funk, yeah!

My ducati 996 SPS is certainly alot of fun. But I'm considering getting the new 05 gsxr 1000. 170+ HP at the rear wheel sounds like way too much fun.
I sat on one yesterday and it feels like a much smaller bike.
Very narrow in the middle, almost like a V-twin. The seats not bad except there is no rear pad to keep you from sliding back.
Might have to sell my 89 GS and trade in the Duc

I recently purchased a t595 and am seriously considering converting it into a speed triple because I miss the riding position of a standard so much. I actually prefer commuting in town on the GS better due to it's flickability. If I had to "replace" the GS, it would be with a SV650 without question. I loved that bike.

I really want a dual sport. Not sure what I want yet, not interested in a thumper.

Not interested in any of the new bikes. All the Jap sport bikes still have that same cookie cutter look. I have heard nothing but problem about the new Ducati's (999 mostly).

I have I4's before and do not care for them as well as a twin. Something about them that just stirs the soul. Which just recently I was made an offer to buy another TLR, for a really really good price. It would be a track bike, so most of my GS stuff would probably go.
Common sense in not very common.

i think if i didn't have the gs i would have a sv650s, i don't need too much.

but i'm happy with the gs and the harley. i really wanna build my own bike.

I honestly don't know what I would get if I didn't have a GS500F. Perhaps a Katana 600, or a Honda 599 like I looked at before buying the GS. I'd consider a Buell but I can't help but look at them and say "Daaaayum they are fugly". haha. Somebody beat them bikes with an ugly stick  :P

I also like the Suzuki Boulevards, if I were to go that route that is what I'd choose. The R6 is a hot looking bike, too. Hmm. Of course I love Gixxers, but everyone has one. And the Heyabusa is a sweet bike on all accounts but I would by a lying fool if I said I could handle it properly :)
