I know a guy in Richmond that wanted to sell me another Hodaka. I think he wanted $800 for it and a pile of spare parts. The thing runs too, needs some minor cosmetics. I can put you in touch if you want.

Here's your bike. Not too far from you, cool as shaZam!, and cheap! If I didn't already have 4 half baked projects in my garage, I'd buy the damn thing. This thing is too cool.

Yeah, that's sweet dude.  Only $400 bucks!

I used to ride a Suzuki two stroke triple and loved it.  I always wanted one of the Kawi's.

Love my GS too!!!

if you want to keep in inexpensive try keeping the bike not "too" old.

my favorite classic is a mid 70's honda 750ss (the most prolific) or the 550ss or 400ss (the most prized). these are 4 cyl bikes. the 750 is the bike Honda ripped open the big bore class of bikes in, and dominated with it. its also so sweet, the way the 4 into 1 header feeds is pure art. One of my favorite rides. Almost bought a 750ss back in college as my first bike.

note the s is an important distinction over the regular bike-its the SuperSport model...

here's one thats been restored and cafe'd up...like I'd a done.

that's the STOCK header! mmm.

How about a Kawasaki Avenger?  Those are relatively inexpensive.  Anyone ever ridden one?

Honda Superhawks are cool too.  I'd really like a vintage bike (preferably british like a bonneville, TR6, Daytona, or Commando), but i'm afraid it would turn into an out of control money pit.  I read a post on here somewhere that said they will never be reliable and that stems from the wide tolerances used when they were built.  They will always leak.
