Hey all, haven't been around in ahwile, busy with school and salvaging a software project.
Here's my dealeo:
I rejetted yesterday and put everything back togetrher today. I labled each hose and cable and had good instructions. I fired it up and the revs immediately took off and held about 6000rpm.
Is this an air leak maybe? I can't find one so far.
Could it be the throttle cable too tight on the carbs?
I have tried adjusting both mixture screws and right now they're both fully closed.
Thanks for your replies!

First check cable routing make sure there is plenty of slack in throt and Choke cables.

then check for vacume leak(sucky sucky air) missing plugs, splits or holes in vacume lines, Missing O-ring in top cap of carb    (any takers on this? i got a Imaginary 1 dallor bill on this one)

haha this thread was so unpopular it was 4 pages back when i found it.  It was the throttle cable, which i narrowed down by:
1. Doing Kerry's float height check.
2. Popping the carb caps and verifying the o-rings were still there, also checking the vacuum line to the carbs.
3. Adjusting the idle screw and the pilot screws while running, experiencing no changes.

Once i got this right it was pretty easy to start getting a good mix with the pilot screws. I'm not done yet because i want to finish the job when i get my wileyco and  uni filter.

Thanks for the replies, and thanks to Kerry for his very useful home page.

Yea I need to re-route my throttle cable, it hangs the idle when I turn to the right.
